“ Spacious Thai restaurant serving yummy dishes under the dimmed cosy atmosphere. Staff welcomed us very nicely even though they were busy and we had no booking. Lamb Massaman curry was delicious, very well prepared meat, soft and juicy. Excellent Tom Kha Gai soup. ”
“ highly recommend their veggie toasts - can’t find them anywhere else. food is great whenever i come, so i’m sampling the menu, and no complaints so far! beautiful to eat outside and ideal for a group of friends! ”
“ Found out this restaurant recently. Pretty authentic Thai restaurant in east London for sure. Ordered fish cake for starter and the fish meat included pretty filling to start with. Fried pineapple rice was definitely something flavourful and cooked perfection. The stir fry chicken with basil did not smell well but could taste the spicy ness of it as I have asked chef to make it spicy. The green curry was excellent too to go well with the dishes. Overall nice restaurant to come. Though dessert was expecting mango sticky rice but they didn’t have it here. ”
“ I totally recommend this place . Been 3 times and each time was up to my expectations. The food is tasty, full of flavour, cocktails are lovely and nice portions are being served. The atmosphere and decor is also included in my 5 stars. I have always been seated at the Thai style table by the little fish pond which I love. The staff is friendly giving good recommendations and the service is also good as I never have to wait for very long to get the food. In terms of price, it is reasonable and for me does reflect the value for money ”
“ My friend and I were just passing by on a Wednesday evening and got attracted by the lovely exterior Thai style of the building. We sat outside and enjoyed a few cocktails during their happy hour! The atmosphere was great and all the team members extremely kind and friendly that we decided to stay longer and have dinner. The inside of the restaurant was very well curated and welcoming with colourful paints made by one of the lady who was working there. The menu was large and with a lot of different choices. We went for a mix platter to start, dim sum , duck in special sauce and green curry, accompanied with a bottle of Chardonnay. We found every dish delicious and so decided to try also theirs hot chocolate fondant and fried bananas. I would absolutely recommend this place, great for only drinks or a fully dinner! A big thanks to the staff who has been incredibly friendly and really made our night! You’ll see us again ”
“ Owned by a beautiful couple, who actually care about hospitality and meaningful conversation, which left our family feeling warm and invited (not something you always find in London) The Tom Khar Chicken was perfect, cannot be faulted and tasted very authentic. All of the starters tasted delicious. The Thai iced teas were also very good. Pineapple fried rice didn’t taste as authentic although was very tasty nevertheless. A nice and ambient atmosphere and they are able to cater to your needs. Also beautiful art on the walls. ”
“ Lunch on Christmas Eve is a family tradition. The service is excellent and the staff are very good with babies and young children. The food is excellent. I tried the green curry this time which was subtle in coconut flavor. It was a excellent choice. ”
“ We had a group of mixed food preferences sharing a dinner at Thai Restaurant Yum Yum in Stoke Newington. It’s a rambling establishment with several different seating styles in a beautiful late Queen Anne’s (English Baroque if architecture is your yam) style building (circa 1712). They have paid great attention to the decor as well as the menu. The ingredients are fresh and options change with seasonal availability. There is a dedicated Gluten-free menu and both vegetarian and vegan meals are marked. There isn’t currently a vegan option on the dessert menu, but they have committed to adding one. A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are on offer. I was thrilled with my vegan stir fried vegetables with added tofu; all elements were perfectly cooked and flavoured. The watermelon juice was an unusual treat and deliciously refreshing. There are a handful of other vegan options and I would definitely also order the same meal again. The gluten-free, vegetarian and carnivore diners all had high praise for their selections. We opted for the sunken seating which accommodates up to six in a cosy conversation friendly configuration. I took a stroll and noted a variety of different zones with tasteful and consistent atmospheres throughout. The owner was happy to proudly give a little background to the restaurant; they were excited to recall being on MasterChef twice and The F Word with Gordon Ramsay in 2010. After 43 years in the restaurant business they are clearly still determined to provide a quality dining experience stating a business philosophy that chooses customer satisfaction over expansion. ”
